ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– The Roanoke Police Department reports a person sustained serious injuries in a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Hershberger Road NW.
According to the police department, a motorcycle was traveling west on the 3900 block of Hershberger Road NW when the driver allegedly entered the east lane, lost control, and crashed.
Police say the driver of the motorcycle was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Roanoke Fire-EMS for treatment of what appeared to be serious injuries.
RPD has closed the road to allow officers to work and clear the scene. They ask to avoid travel in this area until officers are finished.
